The section are supplied split and hinged for easy snap - on assembly. DRAGON ROCKWOOL are available in a number of insulation thinkness for a wide range of pipe outside diameter ( with facing of Kraft paper ) and Aluminium is available on request.

APPLICATION

DRAGON ROCKWOOL Pipe Section are specially manufactured to meet the specially requirements of the thermal insulation, fire protection and sound attenuation of pipework in chemical plants, petrochemical plants and power stations.

ENVIRONMENT

No CFCs or HCFC are used in the manufactures of DRAGON ROCKWOOL materials. DRAGON ROCKWOOL materials are free of asbestos.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
DRAGON ROCKWOOL Industrial Slabs are light and easy to cut to any shape with a sharp knife. For long-term protection they should be stored indoors or under a waterproof coverting.

ACOUSTICS

For environmental reasons, it is sometimes desirable to improve the acoustic insulation of pipe, especially those pipes in which gases, fluids or particle solids are transported at high velocities. The use of pipe section can considerably reduce noice emission from such soures.

To improve the noise reduction at low frequencies it is necessary to use a heavy cladding. The graph below gives an example of the sound reduction for an insulated pipe system with a lead cladding
